Cables

So what is the difference and how do you know which you should use? Ethernet cables are grouped into sequentially numbered categories (CAT) based on different specifications; sometimes the category is updated with further clarification or testing standards (e.g. CAT5e, CAT6a). On top of this they have the option of shielding to further protect the cable from interference.

Cat8 S/FTP – Shielded Foiled Twisted 4 Pair Cable - LSZH Sheath

Category 8 Ethernet cable is the future. The ultimate, the optimal for all top performing and highly operational data centers. CAT8 networking cable has the ability to outperform all previous networking cable through delivering 40G speeds over distances of up to 30 meters. This innovative cable renders an easier alternative to utilizing patch cords for high-speed interconnections amid servers and additional networking machines.

Cat7A S/FTP – Shielded Foiled Twisted 4 Pair Cable – LSZH Sheath

Ongoing advancements in technology have brought about the introduction of CAT7a ethernet cabling which provide considerable unique benefits. . Cat7A cable was developed with strict specifications on crosstalk and EMI protection. Category 7a (Cat7a) S/FTP is compliant to ISO 11801 Class FA (Category 7A) requirements and is REACH and RoHS compliant. The Category 7A cable has conductor pairs that are individually wrapped in foil and surrounded by an overall braid. Applications for CAT7a include HDBaseT, PoE+, and 10-gigabit ethernet. When tested to 1000 megahertz (CAT7a), these ethernet cables exhibit high levels of noise immunity.

Cat6 U/UTP Cable – PVC

D-CONNECT Category 6 cables well exceeds ANSI/TIA and ISO/IEC category 6/class E requirements for Category 6 performance. They comply with all of the performance requirements for current and proposed applications. D-CONNECT Category 6 cables are manufactured and tested to the Category 6 performance standards defined by the standards bodies.
